Juenethia: A Radiant Tale of Perseverance and Strength

I’m Breann, and I’m so thrilled to welcome you to the new online home of Juenethia. Whether you’re a loyal customer, a curious visitor, or someone just starting to explore the world of handcrafted skincare and candles, I’m beyond grateful you’re here.

Every story has a beginning, and Juenethia’s is rooted in resilience, love, and the pursuit of something better. Let me take you back to 2010 a time when my skin was crying for help, and I was desperate for answers. College life had me battling not just the stress of deadlines but also a full body breakout of hives, harsh Ohio winters, and a less than stellar diet. It was a wake up call I couldn’t ignore.

Determined to heal my skin and rediscover confidence, I revamped my diet, embraced a healthier lifestyle, and said goodbye to chemical laden store products. One weekend, while pouring my frustrations out to my mom my DIY queen she casually suggested, “Why don’t you make your own stuff?”

That simple idea sparked a journey that changed my life. With bags of health food store ingredients and plenty of trial and error, I dove headfirst into experimenting. Not every attempt was a success (there were plenty of messy fails), but with persistence and encouragement from my family, I created products I could truly feel good about.

I named the brand after my mom, Juenethia, as a tribute to her wisdom and creativity. From my college union shop to local markets, my passion for natural, effective skincare grew with every product shared and every smile received.

Fast forward to July 2021, when my husband and I fell in love with Portland, Oregon, during our honeymoon. The city’s vibrant community and welcoming spirit inspired us to make it our home. From day one, Portland embraced Juenethia with open arms so much so that a local paper, The Willamette, featured my story within our first week here.

By May 2022, we debuted at local markets, and in June, we joined the iconic Portland Saturday Market. Thanks to the incredible support of this community, Juenethia quickly grew from a dream into a thriving business.
